The good news of Christ isn't for a select group of people, it's for all people. Christ died on the cross for everyone and he rose again for everyone; He took your sin and washed it away with his blood.
In Luke 24:46-48, the Bible lays it out for us all to see; "He told them, 'This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.'" God told us all, through the Bible, that Jesus would die on the cross and rise again to save us all from the death of sin.
So this Easter, if you are searching for Jesus or already know Jesus; attend a church service, tell the world the good news, and show those who question you, Jesus's love and truth. God Bless you all!
Now, I want to hit on some of my family's Easter traditions. These traditions are the ones we have done/will do this year.
I am Polish, 50% to be exact, which means Easter is a big celebration. I don't remember an Easter when we didn't have kielbasa, pierogi, or white borscht; I honestly don't think we've ever not had those foods. When my Grammy was alive, she would call me on Easter and speak words from the Bible to me and say Hallelujah a bunch of times; now a days, I will play Christian music and read the verses she would recite to me.
As a Christian, my family has always attended an Easter service. When I was very little, I'd dress up in my Easter best and my cute little 90's Easter shoes (You all know what I'm talking about). I still do dress up in a Spring-inspired dress and I now have my big girl Easter shoes, that look just like my little girl ones. We still head to a church service and usually have dinner with family and friends!
I hope you have a fantastic Easter with your family and your friends! If you are on Spring break, like me, I hope you have a great time! I won't be back until next weekend, but I will be giving Angela the option to blog for me! I'll see you next weekend, with tons of photos and tons of great stories to share! Love you all and may God bless you!
xoxo, Aubs
