hello scary (but cute) people! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I love Halloween, it's the best holiday ever okay bye!

This Halloween is a little different for me because instead of trick or treating or going to a party, I am at home writing this blog post just for you guys! Also, I am extremely tired so I kinda wanna be asleep by 11.

This morning, I went out to breakfast with Lauren and than got Starbucks with Amanda a little bit later. After all of that cool stuff, I went to church for msm and hung out with some of the cool middle schoolers who decided Jesus was more important than candy (because he is!). Now I am at home, with some makeup on my face, shooting some photos for this post WOO!

Side note: If I went trick or treating this year, I would've gone as Wednesday Addams because I love her... a lot. But, I didn't go trick or treating because I am super lame, but I did decide to watch the Halloween episode of Parks and Rec because April and Andy are goals, especially when it comes to Halloween! So yeah go watch that episode because it is wonderful!

Okay I need to stop blabbing, here are the photos I took today!

Look at that little pumpkin it's so cute! It's so freaking cute! Ah what a cutie!

I love this lighting! It's so spooky and wonderful!!

Look it's the cutie pumpkin again, with a bunch of candy!

I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween and if you don't celebrate it, then I hope you had a good day! Keep being cute babes! Peace out...

xoxo, Aubrey :)

dance like nobody's watching

Monday, October 26, 2015

hello sweet humans! I was actually planning on posting this yesterday, but all I really wanted to do yesterday was lay in my bed and watch netflix (watched 10 episodes of Jane The Virgin, oops) Anyways, I finally sat down and got myself serious about posting this post all about homecoming!

First of all, we lost our homecoming game to our biggest rival, which sucked a lot. But, I had a lot of fun at my very last homecoming game, sigh. I always enjoy spending time with my friends and freezing my butt off.

I actually wore my birks with socks to the game and I couldn't feel my feet by the end of the night. Tip: don't wear birks when its cold outside.
I also got to see Trisha and Nat, which was so awesome!

After the game I went home and went to bed because lets be real, I didn't want bags under my eyes for the dance.

I wore my dress from last year because I didn't go to my school's homecoming last year and I absolutely loved my dress, I got it from Macy's and it is my favorite dress from all my homecomings. I wore my hair up because I hate having my hair down when I'm moving and grooving (haha what?)!

I really do not understand why all these photos are grainy, I think it's because my phone's camera was covered in hairspray, but whatever they're still cute!

Anyways, I know this post wasn't super great! But I promise they will be getting better once I get rid of my writer's block and get a new tripod!

Ciao for now!

xoxo, Aubs

autumn adventures

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

hey there cuties! I just got back from a great trip to New Hampshire, where I did a lot of exploring (not really) with Angela. I know I didn't blog much while I was there, so I am going to use this post to fill you in on my little adventure to New Hampshire!

Day 1: Thursday
My flight took off at 10:30 am and I arrived at about 12 in the afternoon. I was greeted by my Aunt and my younger cousins. After we drove back to their house, we picked up some balloons for Angela and we stood outside her school waiting for her. As soon as she saw us, she exclaimed, "No!" but soon forgot that we embarrassed her and gave me a huge hug. We did the majority of our homework and ate dinner.

Day 2: Friday
Oh man Friday it rained like crazy and it was nearly freezing (probably not, but it felt like it), so Angela, Nicole, and I all bundled up in bed and watched Hotel Transylvania, because it is the cutest movie in the world. Later in the day, when the rain cleared up, we went out for Hibachi for Angela's birthday dinner. My cousins were all there and we just had a great time. Angela even got a balloon hat from our chef dude.

Day 3: Saturday
Saturday morning we found ourselves volunteering at a thrift boutique that my cousin, Vanessa, works at. I always enjoy volunteer work and I enjoyed it even more being surrounded by my cousins. After we volunteered for an hour or so, we met up with Angela's friend, Lilly. We all went and explored the shops in Dover and checked out a little fall festival. We all went to church at my cousins' church, which was a lot like my church and was very enjoyable. Lilly slept over and helped Angela and I review the book we started to write a couple summers back.

Day 4: Sunday
Sunday was a girl's day, we went to downtown Portsmouth and explored some shops and just hung out together. After Portsmouth, Angela and I colored in coloring books and just hung out.

Day 5: Monday
The worst day ever, I left. We didn't actually cry when I was leaving at the airport, but we cried after. I am not going to go into detail about us crying, so just know that when we leave each other it sucks, a lot.

I am going to go now, love you guys so much!
xoxo, Aubrey

Who Is She: Angela

Monday, October 12, 2015

Yesterday afternoon, I sat down with Angela at her kitchen counter and talked with her about her life and her blog. She laughed at me as she couldn't think of the answers to my questions, but she eventually answered all of them with thought and wonder.

What advice would you give someone who wants to start a blog?
Know what you're going to do before you start it, have a plan.
What is your best beauty tip?
                              I'm sorry, but NO uggs.
What is one thing you'd love to do that you don't feel like you'd ever be able to do?
                              Go to Norway!

What are three things you can't live without?
  1. My mother
  2. You (me)
  3. Salt and vinegar chips
What has influenced your style the most?
The thing that influences my style the most would be seeing people in public with                                different styles.
Night in or night out?
                             Night out

Last song you listened to?
                             Daywalkers by: Propaganda feat. Lecrae
Favorite female character in a movie or TV Show?
                              Amy Poehler
What is your go-to piece of clothing?
                              My leggings

Coffee or tea?
                              both ("choftea")
Favorite artist, old or new?
Halsey, she's all I've been listening too lately.
What have you learned about yourself since you started your blog?
I've learned that I love to give advice.
That being said, what piece of advice would you give your younger self?
Stop being sassy and shut your mouth.

Angela was super fun to interview and I really enjoyed spending a long weekend with her for her birthday. We are both sorry that we didn't blog a lot this weekend, we were too busy enjoying our time together. I hope you enjoyed this interview and that you check out her blog, where she interviewed me. I will see you later this week!

autumn essentials

Friday, October 2, 2015

hi cuties! It's basically Halloween, which means it is one of the best month ever, OCTOBER :)
okay yeah I love Halloween, October, and fall; if you couldn't tell already. Anyways, today I am going to share my fall/autumn essentials!! (btw my tripod  is still not working, so I hope you enjoy my phone photos, since they will be here a while) Let's get started!

Food/Drinks

  • Toasted Graham Latte from Starbucks

Honestly this is the best fall drink that Starbucks has ever come out with, I wish it was out all year long. It tastes just like sweet graham crackers and it is just wonderful, I really think you all need to try it!

  • Zand Cough drops
I am constantly battling a cold while I am in school, so I always stash up on these cough drops. They are organic and actually made with ingredients that are meant to treat sore throats and coughs.

Essential Oils
  • Immupower (Young Living)
  • On Guard (Doterra)
  • Tea Tree Oil (Desert Essence)
  • Frankincense (Doterra)

I love all of these oils so much! I actually just love all oils, but these ones especially for the fall. I have been rubbing Immupower on my feet before I put socks on because it has frankincense and oregano oil in it, which are great for colds and any illness really. I love On Guard, because it smells amazing and it helps with illness also. I always diffuse On Guard before I go to bed so that I can sleep well. I use Tea Tree Oil for everything; I mix it with coconut oil and put it on my face before I go to sleep to help with redness, I also use it on my feet when I'm sick because it is anti-bacterial. And frankincense, the most precious oil, I think this oil is just great because it can be used for anything. I like to use it for a foot/ankle soak when my ankle is bothering me, it is wonderful for all sorts of healing.

Clothes
  • With Love Dress from FP

Oh this dress is my love, I just...wow it is so gorgeous! I have yet to wear it to school because people at my school like to throw food at lunch and I do not want any food on it. I will wear it one day, I promise.
  • Poncho from Francesca's

Okay this poncho is the perfect fall sweater, especially if you are like me, and you don't really enjoy sweater because they are staticky and itchy. I strongly suggest you buy yourself a cute poncho and rock it out!
  • A-line skirt from Abercrombie
I featured this skirt in my fall haul a while back, and I have yet to wear it but I am planning on doing so next week!

Jewelry

I have been trying to get into rings for a while now and I finally have with the help of shopdixi's beautiful jewelry. I also recently bought my cousin's birthday present from there too!

Blog of the Month

So, I decided that I wanted to start to do a blog of the month, just to feature my favorite bloggers, because I want them to be your favorite bloggers too!
Yes, Angela is my cousin. Yes, Angela is my best friend. And yes, Angela runs one of my favorite blogs!

Music
  • My fall jams will be available October 6th! Be on the lookout!
Plants
  • Air Plant
  • Bamboo

My plant babies make me feel like I am in my own little oasis, when in reality it's cold outside and I wish it was July.

Accessories
  • Explorer hat from Abercrombie
  • Scarves from Forever21 and ones I arm knitted

And that concludes my fall essentials! I hope you enjoyed and are now inspired to buy some things, or not!

I will be back 10/6 with my amazing fall jams! How excited are you?? I am super duper excited!
Well I am going to leave now, peace out!

xoxo, Aubrey
