I have so much exciting news to share (you might not find it exciting but I do!), so I'm just going to get into this news right away!

For starters, school gets out in 30 days. I don't really know if the month of June will be eventful because I don't really have any set-in-stone plans yet, but fingers crossed everything will happen.

Then comes July, which is going to be super fantastic because I get to see my best friend and cousin, Angela for the whole month! Angela and I have talked about doing something special with our blogs, but we haven't really planned anything yet. 

My next big exciting news is that my poetry book will most likely be on sale by the end of May! Releasing it for anyone and everyone to read has been a struggle for me, I've fought with myself over it for almost a year and I finally decided to just go for it. I will tell you more about how you can purchase it closer to the release date. 

That is it with the exciting news. I wish I had more to share with you, but unfortunately I do not.  Maybe I'll have more in the upcoming weeks, maybe I won't; we will just have to see.

Wait! Before you go I have to tell you something! Today, I was listening to Edwin McCain's album (which I found while thrift shopping yesterday) and I told my mom that I'll Be is my absolute favorite song in the world and she told me that she used to sing it to me when I as a baby. Isn't that crazy, that my favorite song is one I used to hear all the time as an infant? I think it's amazing.

blackberries and flannel

Today was very boring and cold. It's April and it was 36 degrees (F) in Michigan today. To think I'm complaining about this weather, but I want to move to Colorado. Sometimes, I swear I'm crazy. Anyways, today I didn't do much besides write this blog post, drink peach detox tea, and drive with my dad. Also, I apologize for being MIA lately, I've been in a rut and I'm lacking inspiration. It has also been spirit week at school, so I didn't want to freak you out with my strange outfits. At least, tomorrow is Friday and next week I will hopefully be back to my normal schedule.

So my family got new living room furniture and I can now look outside my big picture window, so I have been sitting on the couch lately just admiring the grass getting greener and the trees beginning to get their buds. I just wish it was warm outside; I want to be able to sit outside with my dog and not freeze my butt off.

Today I wore joggers from Forever21, a flannel also from Forever21, and a t-shirt for my friend's band.

fresh cut grass

ciao amici miei (hello my friends)! I hope everyone had a great week! I apologize for not blogging this week, I was very busy with school and a tad bit stressed. I really am hoping that next week will be a whole lot better and that I will be able to blog way more.

Today I didn't do much, I brought some clothes to Plato's Closet and did a little grocery shopping with my mom. Once we got home, I took these photos and ate some clams for dinner. I have also been jamming to Oh Honey all day today. Now, I am sitting on my couch eating green beans and writing this post.

yes, it is only 70 degrees out and yes, I am wearing a crop top and shorts. I also don't really care that it's only 70 out, I was warm. I actually got my shorts and my crop top at the same place, Pacsun! 

Woo Hoo, I am going to go put some sweatpants on and longboard up and down my street. Peace out!

way to a poet's heart

hello cuties! I unfortunately do not have a fashion post for you, but this post is pretty important and you won't be mad for reading it! So just be patient and stay tuned, the announcement will be at the end of this post.

Anyways, this weekend I got home from Florida and went to a small concert with a couple of my friends. We ended up seeing Nick Santino, Public and Oh Honey perform and even got to hang out with Young Rising Sons during and after the show. I kind of just do this thing were I go to tiny concerts and hang out with the bands that performed; it's actually a wonderful thing, you should try it sometime! Also, check them all out because they're phenomenal!

Hey! Now it is time for my announcement that I am super duper excited about! The past few months I have been working on organizing some poems for a book! I have written a ton of poetry over the years and a lot of friends and family have suggested that I write a book using an independent publishing company. I have finally given into the pressure and I've decided that I want the world to be able to read my writing and be inspired by it! I will be sure to let you all know when the book is ready for purchase, but for now you can get a little preview on my hellopoetry account. I am super excited about this period in my life and I really hope you are all ready to take this crazy journey with me! 

I'll be back sometime this week with either a fashion post or a diy post for mother's day gifts.

life's a beach

Hello everybody!! I hope all is well in your life! I forgot to blog last night after watching the sunset so I decided to do it now. 

Where I am at in Florida the sun sets at about 7 pm, so we went down to the beach at around 6:50 and took some photos and watched the sun go down. 

My family is so cute when it comes to photos, they love to take them and be in them. They're so adorable, I love them. 

I have been so blessed to be able to spend spring break at such a beautiful place with my family, I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. 

Down at the beach I wore a sweater tank from Kendall and Kylie's collection at PacSun and some blue shorts also from PacSun.

fresh fish and shirley temples

Hey there! Well I forgot to blog last night so hi, here I am! I could tell you all my excuses as to why I didn't post last night but they're kind of stupid, except for the fact that I wrote poetry. 

So before I came back to our condo, I went out to dinner at a place called Boshamp's, which was phenomenal. I got a Shirley temple because I'm still 5 at heart, I shared a gumbo with my dad, and got the Pan Roasted Gulf Grouper for dinner. I had such a good time with my family and some friends that are also staying near us. 

When we went out to eat I wore a beautiful two piece that I purchased from Tola Vintage. You should seriously check out their clothing, if you love vintage things. 

I will hopefully see you later in the day!

goat cheese and baseball caps

Hi!! Today has been interesting I guess, I mean I saw a kid get stung by a jelly fish and put loads of sunscreen all over my body. I also wore my favorite bathing suit that I got last year and lied in a chair on the beach, drinking peach tea.

I'm also going out to dinner tonight, so I'll be posting about that later! I can't wait to wear a cute outfit and my baseball cap because my hair is gross and my face is really burnt so why not. 

I ate a fantastic salad today with all organic veggies (arugula, cucumber, radish, baby bell peppers and red onion), I also put a ton of goat cheese on it because I love goat cheese so much. I topped it off with ginger shittake dressing that tastes like heaven. 

My bathing suit is from asos, I purchased it last spring but I'm sure they have other ones like it. My baseball cap is from some touristy store in Florida, my dad bought it so you'll have to ask him.

sing me to sleep

oh hey look it's my favorite cutie! Today has been pretty interesting... I mean my face is burnt to a crisp and I'm very tired because sunburns make you sleepy. The first thing I did today was walk on the beach and then I ate a fabulous breakfast (bagel, eggs, and bacon). Next, I took a shower and got dressed. I kind of just sat on our balcony for a few hours and ate lettuce wraps for lunch. Then, I went down to the boardwalk with my family and walked the pier. And now, I am back at our condo writing this blog post. How exciting! I think I am going to go swim in our condo's pool soon, because I need something to soothe this sunburn.

Today I wore a tank top from Brandy Melville and bohemian shorts from American Eagle, kind of the same as yesterday. I kind of went crazy at American Eagle and PacSun when I went spring break shopping, so a lot of my stuff is from those 2 stores. 

Tomorrow should be much more exciting, hopefully I can enlist someone to take some beach photos of me for the blog. I'm hoping sunscreen actually works tomorrow and I don't turn into a lobster again.

happy easter

Ciao my beauties! I hope that you are all enjoy your day! I hope you all have had a great Easter and continue to enjoy this beautiful day! I am starting a spring break series today, which is exciting for me and hopefully for you! I plan on posting once or twice everyday this week, including any daily events worth sharing and my outfit for the day.

So today was fantastic, I went for a run on the beach at 8 am and then lied out in the sun for the remainder of the day. I saw so many man buns today, I felt like I was in man bun heaven. I also got extremely tan from lying in the sun for a few hours. I am loving life right now.

Today I wore blue bohemian shorts from American Eagle, and a grey tank top from Brandy Melville.

Oh yeah, also I saw dolphins swimming in their natural habitat and it made me sad, because down the road from my resort is an aquarium that has performing dolphins and if you know me, you know how I feel about performing animals.

Florida bound

Hey everyone! I am currently in the car traveling through Alabama. I kind of hate road trips because my back usually hurts after sitting for long periods and I can never fall asleep in the car. I am just excited to be arriving soon!

 

Last night I stopped in Tennessee and got dinner at a Hibachi restaurant. I had some amazing tuna and fried rice. It was also the first time this week that I wasn't lying on the couch, coughing my brains out. In the spirit of feeling healthy, I put on a dress that I got from American Eagle and my white Lily sandals from Windsor Smith. 

All in all, Tennessee was beautiful despite the 15 minute tornado warning and constant downpour. I hope you had or are about to have a fabulous spring break, I can't wait to share mine with you all!

sick as a dog

hi guys! I know I don't owe anyone anything, but I think it would be super nice of me if I gave you all an explanation as to why I haven't blogged all week. I've been super sick, I don't exactly know what I am sick with all I know is that it's annoying and I wish it would go away. So anyways, I've been coughing for 5 days and it's not a normal cough it's a hard cough that lasts for minutes on end. I've been coughing so much that my sternum is extremely sore, I can't lie on my back without wanting to rip it out of my chest. Although this sickness is annoying, I am on antibiotics and I am feeling a tad bit better, I'm just happy that it's not something worse. I'm just excited for spring break and I'm ready to get up off the couch and take some amazing photos for you guys.

I'm sorry for being MIA all week, I hope your week was well. I love you all so much.
