Hey you! Are you ready to feel super healthy? Are you ready to strengthen your immune system? Are you ready to sweat your booty off? Are you ready to get loads of natural vitamins?
Well, I hope you said yes to at least one of these questions because I am going to share with you the following: great workout apps to get you motivated, my go-to workout clothing for all occasions, the healthy things I try to keep around, and some very helpful tips.
The only reason I am doing this is because I felt really motivated today and I am starting to run again and I am super excited to share my journey with you all!
To start out, lets talk about the apps I use when working out! Also, they're all free!
- Charity Miles: This app is my main motivation for running because it helps me see that I can help tons of people by working out. Charity Miles supports a bunch of charities including, Stand Up To Cancer, WWF, Girl Up, Nothing But Nets, and many more. If you don't like to run or you simply cannot run, they also have biking and walking options.
- Stop Breathe & Think: Stop Breathe & Think is great for relaxing after a workout or before bed. This app leads you through a meditation that helps you recognize certain things based on how you feel that specific day.
- Grokker: Grokker is an app with loads of different workout videos that are completely free! (That's really all)
Next, I am going to share my go-to workout clothing.
This outfit is my typical training outfit. I would wear this if I were doing any sort of strength training, or if I were taking a class such as cycling or Zumba. I got this sports bra from Forever21, the shorts are from Kohl's in the juniors workout section, and my shoes are Mizuno, which I got fitted for at a local running store.
This is my yoga outfit. It consists of Fila cropped yoga pants and a yoga shirt from Forever21.
This is my very favorite outfit, my running outfit. This is my typical running outfit for a warm/hot spring or summer day. I don't typically run outside in the winter because it's wicked cold and super snowy. This outfit consists of a sports bra from Nike, Fila wicking top and Fila running shorts, Balega running socks, a New Balance visor, and Mizuno running shoes.
Moving on, now we will get into the healthy things I love to have with me. I absolutely love Yogi teas, right now I am detoxing with their Detox tea. This detox tea is super light on your body and contains no laxatives, so you can drink it on the go. I also love to always have chia seeds and hemp seeds to put on salads or eat with some peanut butter. One other thing I must have at all times is, garbanzo beans, or chickpeas. I adore roasted chickpeas and also hummus. I also make sure I have a can of chickpeas around or some dry ones to soak and use.
At this point you're probably wondering why I am making this post; it is a lot different than my other posts. I have found myself in a rut, I fall ill a lot and have very weak back and shoulder muscles. I have realized that working out and eating clean could help with a lot of health issues, so I have began to try to be healthy again. To do so, I have started to cleanse my body for the next two weeks with
Fit Personality's 14 Day Clean Eating Challenge. Unfortunately due to the fact that I may have low iron, I have revised Katy's version and I am not cutting out red meat from my diet, but I will be eating leaner cuts. Also, to start my running journey, I have pledged to do a
5K Running Challenge that I found on Popsugar Fitness. I am hoping to run a 5K sometime this summer!
I really hope that I have inspired you to deal with your health, because it is not going to stop being a problem unless you do something about it. Also, don't forget to stay super positive when working out; a negative mind could cause you stress or unwanted injuries.
I love every one of you and I hope to see you back here on Thursday!
xoxo, Aubrey
